Spark wonder with handcrafted sensory play for little hands

Thoughtfully curated, themed sensory bins designed to inspire curiosity, calm focus, and creative adventures. Handcrafted in small batches from our family to yours in Nampa, Idaho.

Hello and Welcome,
My name is Katie, owner of The Sensory Garden. I started this business after seeing how much my own children loved exploring and creating through sensory play. As a mom, I wanted to share that joy with other families through thoughtfully made, themed sensory bins.
I put care into ever set, choosing materials that invite little ones to scoop, pour, dig and dream up their own adventures. Each small-batch bin is an invitation to slow down, follow their curiosity and find wonder in a handful of play.

The Sensory Garden play guide:
Little hands. Big discoveries.
Welcome to The Sensory Garden. Our handmade sensory bins are invitation to scoop, pour, imagine, and explore. There's no finished project to copy or "right" way to play-just space for your little one's curiosity to lead.
What is sensory play?
Sensory play gives children opportunities to explore through their senses. In a sensory bin, that might mean noticing different textures, listening to materials tumbling into a cup, or experimenting with scoops and containers. These experiences can offer practice with small hand movements, descriptive language and imaginative play.

Made with care by a mom

At 30 years old, I'm a stay at home mom, a homeschool parent, and now a new business owner. My sensory business began with something personal: bringing sensory activities into my children's homeschool and activities for screen-free play.
As we explored these activities together, I began to see a new possibility. Something I had incorporated into our home could also become something I could share with other families. That idea inspired me to take a leap and start a business in our everyday experiences.
For me, this journey is about connection- between motherhood and entrepreneurship, between our homeschool life and a new creative venture, and between what we do at home and offer to others.
I'm still at the beginning, learning how to build this business while continuing to be present for my children. I don't have every detail figured out, but I'm proud to be starting something that grew from such a meaningful part of my life.
My story isn't about stepping away from being a stay-at-hoe mom to become something else. It's about taking inspiration from the mom I already am and creating something new.
